The Taste of Llicorella
Type of wine: Red wine
Alcohol: 14 % Vol.
The strength of the Priorato wine region in a wine and in a grape, the Garnacha, showing a piece of this land, so characteristic by its terroir: The Slate (llicorella). The best Garnacha grapes are located on the slopes of the little village of Falset, in the heart of the Priorat. Our byodinamyc soils are very poor in organic material but very rich in licorella.
Maquinon is a wine of a very intese cherry color with violet nuances, clean and bright. Intense nose with hints of exotic oriental spices. Candied fruit and memories of mocca. In the mouth, it is very friendly, round and full bodied. The acidity is well balanced with the tanins fo the wine, and the aftertaste has a clear protagonist of the mature fruit.
